Fleas are frustratingly hard to get rid of because treating the adult fleas is only half the battle. Eggs, larvae, and pupae can hide in carpet, bedding, and furniture for months, waiting to hatch long after you think the problem is solved. A single flea can lay up to 50 eggs a day, which explains a lot.

Leave the mosquitos in the swamp. South Carolina's heat, humidity, and wetlands make it basically a five-star resort for mosquitoes. Standing water as shallow as a bottle cap is enough for a female to lay up to 300 eggs, and our mild winters mean they never really leave. The Palmetto State is beautiful... they know it too.
