Well, that was quite the damp month of May. 8+ inches of rain, including the 5+ that fell last weekend.
That has cause some scheduling adjustments - Monday accounts just too wet to get into. So, we'll catch up with those this coming Monday. Rather work a tad harder than tear up turf, or get stuck in a yard.
Also working on a couple of mechanical issues - smaller mower needed a new battery, bigger mower blew a hydro pump. Hoping to get that one back online before Monday.

Well now, that was a lot of rain (again)!
Got a 2-day total of 3.1" just north of the old Boone County Fairgrounds.
Monday (1.9") was an off day, today (Tuesday) will also be with an additional 1.2". Going to allow for a dry-out period before we get into everyone's yards.
Will try to get caught up as fast as possible.
Appreciate, as always, the patience.

Been quite the interesting, and wet, month of April.
Everyone is back on schedule - thanks for your patience as we dealt with some pretty swampy conditions.
Also from April, the maintenance DIY list:
1. Replaced brakes both mowers
2. Swapped out a PTO clutch
3. Swapped out spindle assembly
Hopefully May behaves - regular rains (not the deluge), equipment behaves & we stay on schedule for the month.

Quite an eventful 36H of weather. A tad over 3" near the old Boone County Fairgrounds.most of it today - about 2.3".
Looks like Tuesday is going to be a "let Mother Nature wring out her sponge" day as stuff dries out a bit. Might be able to get out for a bit in the afternoon. We shall see. Have done quite a bit of deferred maintenance - PTO clutch replaced, worn out spindle replaced along w/new handle spacers.
Hang with - we'll get back on schedule. Eventually.

04/06/2026

Well, that was quite the week! Tuesday - on schedule
Wednesday & Thursday = 3.2" rain.
Made some headway Friday, but another .7" Friday night = kinda behind the curve.
About a full day behind, but if the weather holds, should be back on track by the end of the week.
Thanks, in advance, for patience.
Have a great week!!

Opening our 30th season of service. Letters, or emails, have gone out for all our current clients. Mulching begins in a few weeks - those slots are limited based on time available. Mowing begins the last full week of March. Hopefully - no snow on the ground by then!

09/24/2024

After a pretty dry opener to September, we're ending on a wet note - 3.7" from late Saturday to this morning (Tuesday). And still misting/showers.More in the forecast for FR/SA!
With that, we are behind. Could be up to 2 days heading into Wednesday. Then, adjustments for the pending rain this wknd.
We'll get y'all done, but it's gonna be a bit. Then, we'll get you back on schedule as fast as possible.
Thanks, and don't forget the umbrella!

05/10/2024

Quick schedule note: Godson is graduating UofI Veterinary School Friday. Quick trip (12+hrs) to & from Champainge IL Friday. So, Friday becomes Saturday & Saturday becomes Sunday. We'll get ya, it'll just be a day later 🙅‍♂️

04/25/2024

So, quick nugget for this wknd (04/26-04/27):
Lotta rain in the forecast for Friday - washout day.
Niece's Wedding is Saturday (out of town).
Back for Sunday, but that appears to be a washout as well.
We'll pick up the pieces best we can beginning either Sunday or Monday.
Remembering that we do really need the rain.

Out in the mail today - the 2022 season opening letter. Unlike MLB, we'll open on time and mow a full season.
Also, for the 1st time in 5+ seasons - a pair of openings exist on the schedule. We only add when space/time permit & only by referral. Word-of-mouth has been fantastic for us over 25yrs. We appreciate that part of the business growth.
Email is the best: [email protected]
Thanks much and see you all in a few weeks!!!
