Good Evening,
Lengthy read ahead but please read
From us at T Squared Lawncare
We have been made aware of a social media post circulating varios pages that is causing quite the stir. First and foremost the claims are ALL ABSOLUTELY FALSE!!! These posts were made by a disgruntled ex employee and his girlfriend. So lets dive into the claims...
-"Steal his employees checks"...super false and illegal. This ex employee was paid multiple times. He worked for us for around 3 weeks. He didn't have a checking account when he signed up on Gusto, our payroll service, so he couldn't do direct deposit. His first week he was paid a check at the end of the week on a friday. He then got a checking account and signed up on Gusto, but was told he had to wait a week due to the pay periods being a week behind (all very normal and if I paid biweekly he would have to wait 2 weeks which is still normal). His second week he called in, for the whole week!! Said his electricity was turned off due to non payment and he needed $1500 for bills. I didn't "laugh in his face" like stated. What I said was "If you're that behind on bills, calling in to work for an entire week is wild". At the end of the day I ended up writing him a check to cover his electricity and that was an advance on his next check. He quit before that paycheck came but in between pay periods. Due to him quitting NOT being fired he needed to return his unpaid work clothes before receiving his final check. He did and he's been paid.
-"Insurance fraud"...Not sure how I committed insurance fraud when I didn't know the truck got wrecked since he hid it and didn't tell me and quit and left.
-"Smoke Ma*****na at work"...I do not while at work. PERIOD.
-"Lies to employees about hours"...I can't control the weather and we don't mow in the rain. Sometimes days get cancelled or started late due to rain and weather. He wanted to and said it was fine. I didn't agree and didn't allow it.
-"Employee asks for more hours"...If I dont have the hours to give, or dont want to pay for the labor, that is perfectly acceptable. We worked around 55 hours per week for the duration of his employment.
-"The ladies comment"...Wow, just wow. Some people will say anything. I Have NEVER and would NEVER speak inappropriately about ANY CLIENT or PROSPECTIVE CLIENT, MALE OR FEMALE!! And I have definitely NEVER seen anyone in a window as stated. The are not direct quotes and were NEVER said.
The post stating the false claims was made by his girlfriend. Who he had committed to mid mow and made fun of her about it. He slandered her more than I've ever heard from someone having a baby with another.
So, I just wanted to clear the air and let all of you know our side of this ridiculous matter. Cease and Desist letters have been sent to all parties and a timeframe window has been given to remove the posts and make a statement owning up to their false claims.
I sincerely apologize for all of this and we will be doing a much better job at vetting our employees to continue to give you the best possible service. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me directly and I'll be happy to help. In the meantime, we look forward to continuing to serve you safely, responsibly and legally.
Have a great evening
Travis and Michelle
