Those rebar lines and stacked block tell you exactly where this project is headed: a foundation built to hold.
A lot of people don't realize that most concrete problems we get called out to fix start right here, before the walls even go up. If the rebar isn't spaced correctly, the block work isn't plumb, or the footing underneath wasn't prepped for local soil, that structure is fighting a losing battle from day one. Middle Tennessee clay swells when it's wet and shrinks when it dries, and in fast-growing areas like Franklin, a lot of builds sit on disturbed fill soil that settles unevenly. That's how you end up with cracked walls and sticking doors a few years in.
As a concrete foundation contractor, here's how we make sure that doesn't happen:
• Compacted gravel base and v***r barrier under every slab
• Rebar set at 18-inch centers on structural pours
• Minimum 3,500 PSI concrete with fiber reinforcement
• Every step checked against code before the next one starts
We've been doing foundation and structural concrete work around Franklin for over 20 years, and every job comes with a three-year written workmanship warranty.
