Modern Tiny Living is proud to present Sea Chord, a fully solar, custom tiny house on wheels.

The 22 ft. Sea Chord is a unique build, with several thoughtful custom touches that truly make it stand out amongst our portfolio of custom tiny homes. And as a fully solar tiny home, Sea Chord is prepared for adventures both on and off-grid.

Upon entering the home, you'll note the entry nook with designated hooks to toss your hat and jacket after a long day of adventures. From there, the large, custom couch is in the forefront, which both pulls out into a full bed and includes a convenient, retractable work/eat table.

The kitchen is full designer and includes the essential appliances, like an oven, cooktop w/range hood, and a big refrigerator/freezer combo. Huge bay windows straddle the cooktop, bringing in gobs of natural light and fresh air. Across from the kitchen, you'll find a work/eat high-top table as well as a full-sized washer and dryer. This customer is prepared for full-time living!

The tiny bathroom is "luxury snug", with a contrasting tile shower, vanity sink, and composting toilet. Ascend the loft to find a huge sleeping area with a custom privacy wall. As mentioned, additional sleeping space is made easy with the convertible couch.

Sea Chord is truly a special tiny home, and at 22 ft. in length, it is perfect as a full-time home or weekend warrior!

Kinnakeet is a great example of our more budget-friendly 20 ft. Mohican models. Kinnakeet, in particular, was built to be a simple getaway home, not a full time residence. As such, it does not feature many of the appliances that your standard full-time home would have, though it has everything it needs to be a relaxing travel or getaway home.

Appliances include a mini-fridge, microwave, and a plug-in 2-top electric burner. There is a king-sized loft, a custom couch that converts into a bed, full bath, and plenty of clothes storage for that little getaway. It's light on its feet, easy to tow, and ready for adventure!

FAQ: Can you build or include ______?

1. A first floor bedroom?
2. A bath tub?
3. Fully solar off-grid setup?
4. Custom Swedish refrigerator?
5. Wood-burning stove?

The answer is yes, we can build or include almost anything into your home! That's why you work with a custom builder like MTL, and that's why you only settle for the best when it comes to building your dream tiny house. Whether it's a fully-outfitted home, a weekend getaway, or an investment property, stick with a team that has done all of the above.

(Note: The only one of these options that we cannot technically build is a wood-burning stove. If you peek at the 5th picture, we built a beautiful honeycombed tile area for a future stove, but as an RVIA-certified builder, we are not able to install stoves ourselves.

And to take it a step further, if you intend to install a wood-burning stove in your home, be certain to have a qualified, vigilant installer who knows how to mitigate any carbon monoxide issues that could result from burning wood in your home. There is a reason RVIA does not approve them!)

Nags Head is a great example of a budget-conscious variation of our popular Point model. At 20 ft. in length, it is a relatively easy home to tow, and all of the built in furniture makes tow-prep a breeze.

How can this be budget-conscious and this beautiful? It's small things, and if you've followed us for a while you can probably pick them out.

Smaller windows is one thing, which we don't love, but it made sense for this home and this customer.

Limited appliances, including a small refrigerator and stowable plug-in cooktop and microwave. Also, no custom wall cabinetry in the kitchen.

Since this home is being used as an AirBnb, building in a lot of long-term creature comforts doesn't make sense. We'd also say the same if this was being used exclusively as a travel home or getaway home. Full time homes, however, need to max out on the storage!

When you walk in Allswell, a custom 28 ft. build by our team at MTL, you're greeted by a bright and airy kitchen that feels more like a luxury home than a tiny house on wheels.

Look left, and you'll find a first floor daybed with gobs of storage. Look right, and you'll find a beautiful high-top table with pass-through window for those warm days. It's a spectacular little setup.

Certainly of all of our Kokosing builds, the lightly outfitted Ojai build has been one of the most-liked fan favorites.

It isn't the most decked-out Kokosing model we've built, but something about this home is very relaxing, peaceful, and appealing. The design team did a spectacular job choosing accents that accomplished the purpose of this home - to be a peaceful retreat in the mountains for its owners, the Baldonis.

It's not fussy by any stretch, but it still has everything this little family of 4 needs to get off the grid and enjoy some peace in the hills of California.

As you enter the spectacular Buttercup, glance to the right to see our legendary Modern Tiny Living social area and bookcases.

For the uninitiated, the MTL social area is a mainstay in our homes, and continues to be because our customers absolutely adore its versatility, function, and comfort. In this case, the social area is flanked by big windows, and as always, features gobs of storage.

Not only that, but the MTL social area easily converts into a bed for guests!

The only thing Buttercup does not feature is a bumped-out, elevated social area. That option is only available in our Kokosing Deluxe models, and it does add to the budget. If someone does not need MAXIMUM storage, this is a great option.
