This outdoor exhibit lets you get in the driver’s seat of heavy equipment and learn about the hard working environment of operators and construction workers. 🚜👷🚧

OCA members joined the parents of two workers killed in work zones to testify in support of House Bill 82.

This legislation strengthens protection for highway workers—a cause that is foundational to OCA’s mission.

We honor the lives of Jordan Thomas, a 25-year old employee of Kokosing Construction Co., Inc., killed while working this March, and Trenton Gallaway, a 20-year old employee of the Richland County Engineer, who was killed in March of 2025.

Happy National Receptionist's Day 2026 to our incredible receptionist and administrative assistant, Nicole Dye!

Nicole joined OCA in 2025 and is an integral part of ensuring our members have a positive experience when they enter our building or call for additional resources. She also helps with member questions and feedback, event registration, organization, conference room planning, and various administrative support tasks.

OCA encourages you to join us for National Safety Week 2026 by taking part in OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls this Wednesday, May 6th.

Job-site falls remain one of the leading causes of worker fatalities and life-altering injuries. Nearly all fall-related incidents are preventable with the right preparation, equipment, communication, and awareness.

Fall protection only works when we use it correctly every single time—no shortcuts, no exceptions. Speaking up, slowing down, and choosing the safer action every time is what prevents falls, protects each other, and ensures everyone goes home at the end of the day. Stand down for safety!
