East Franklinton is a Columbus neighborhood defined by its industrial past and modern creative energy.

At 610 W. Town Street, our goal was to let that character inform the design of a new multi-family community.

The existing one-story brick building on the site became the starting point. Preserving its 1928 façade, our concept for this multi-family development is a bold expansion on its architectural roots, pairing industrial-inspired metal cladding with vibrant pops of color.

It's a new look that feels right at home in East Franklinton.

How will they move through it? Where will they naturally gather? Does it feel comfortable, welcoming and intuitive? And does it create the experience we intended?

Those questions shape so many of the decisions we make as designers. Because ultimately, a successful space isn’t just one that looks good—it’s one that works for the people it was designed for.

Meet Pace Perry, our newest Designer! A recent graduate of the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP program, Pace is starting his career at archall architects with an interest in developing a broader understanding of the design process.

“Joining the Design team is exciting because I can use my creativity right at the earliest stages of a project while also having the opportunity to follow that work beyond preliminary design. Contributing across different phases gives me a better understanding of the entire process and lets me experience architecture more holistically."

Pace has a passion for design that continues outside the office through Minecraft, where he spends time creating games, environments, and art.
