👋 Meet Shanna Davis, our Business Development Specialist.

Ask Shanna what makes someone successful in business development, and she probably won’t talk about sales.

She’ll talk about relationships.

Shanna started at EPM not knowing anything about pest control. Years, several roles, and a lot of trust later, she’s built some of our strongest client relationships, including partners she’s worked with since her early days at EPM who are now in leadership roles themselves.

Her philosophy: “Selling at EPM doesn’t feel like selling. It’s about understanding how properties actually operate and building real relationships over time.”

That’s the mindset she brings to every conversation and one of the reasons so many of her customer relationships have lasted for years.

Meet Darrin Dugger, one of our residential technicians.

Summer means stinging insects. Wasps, hornets, carpenter bees, the kind that show up around a porch or a deck and don’t go away on their own. Darrin and our residential team have been busy.

Here’s something a lot of homeowners don’t know: you don’t have to sign up for ongoing service to get help. EPM offers one-time visits, something most pest control companies won’t do. Need it handled once? We’ll handle it once. Want a program that keeps you covered all season? We do that too.

At EPM, we believe serving our community is just as important as serving our customers.

One of the ways we live that out is through EMPACT, our employee-led community service initiative.

Over the past month, our team participated in two incredible volunteer opportunities.

🌿 Greg partnered with Wallick Communities to help beautify High Point Fellowship through landscaping and outdoor improvements. After the event, Wallick shared that his kindness, enthusiasm, and heart for service made a meaningful impact.

🍽 Several members of our team also volunteered with Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio at Faith Mission Grant Kitchen, helping prepare and serve dinner for residents experiencing homelessness in the Columbus community.

These opportunities may not involve pest management, but they reflect something that is deeply important to us: caring for people.

Through EMPACT, we continue putting our core values into action by leading with empathy, supporting our communities, and encouraging our team to make a difference beyond the workday.

These are the moments that remind us our impact extends beyond the work we do.

What we’re seeing in the field right now...

Summer has definitely arrived, and our technicians have been busy responding to an increase in:

🐝 Stinging insects 🐝 Stag Beetles 🐝 Wasps 🐝 Carpenter Ants 
For property managers, these aren’t just seasonal nuisances. Left unchecked, they can lead to resident complaints, safety concerns, work order requests, and liability risks around entrances, playgrounds, patios, breezeways, and other common areas.
