The Garden Gallery ~ I have a small greenhouse that I grow perennials and roses to sell to local businesses. This page is all about gardening, floral photography, and some of my other passions here in the north east corner of Washington .I have another page ~ Northwest Gallery ~ dedicated more towards my outings here in our area where I share my photos of wildlife and our beautiful surroundin

gs. Here's the link to that blog : https://www.facebook.com/northwestgallery?fref=ts
Sometimes, these 2 pages overlap and I share photos back and forth...it's all about God's creations and nature at it's best.

S E P T E M B E R ~
Well, that happened fast. September already. I do appreciate the cooler temps and the whole idea of winding down. I'm still cutting strawflowers to dry and enjoying some re-blooming on my roses, salvia and scabiosa but the gardens look tired and it's time to do some weeding and cleam up. The hummingbirds left a couple of weeks ago. That was a bit early. I was happy to see a family of bluebirds in the yard chasing grasshoppers. Enjoy the summer days we have left. πŸ‚πŸπŸŒΌπŸ§‘

This time of year, a lot of my perennials and roses take a break. But last night after feeding the horses and checking the rose starts in the greenhouse, we checked out the flower beds and found some blooms. I also added an image of my fierce hunter Toby. While hunting, nap time may occur at any time. πŸ™‚

Today ~
We live about 70 miles north of Spokane. Many of you have heard about the devastating fires that burned through forests and neighborhoods. Two family members nearly lost their homes. One had a rental property that did burn to the ground. Before the Spokane fires, we had several fires burning closer to home near the Columbia River. Due to these fires, our air quality is so poor, we avoid being outside for very long. It's dismal and unhealthy. I'd like to ask for good thoughts and prayers for those affected and for those brave firefighters who are risking their lives for us.

A U G U S T ~
Just a few pictures from the gardens. The lilies and phlox really add color to the gardens this time of year. We need that color and something to uplift our spirits during fire season. We have a few fires down near the Columbia River that are just devastating. One is 131,000 acres. Another is as 37,000 acres. We have smokey skies and ash falling. But we are ok. Please pray for the fire fighters and people who have lost their homes or asked to evacuate and wonder if they'll see their homes again. Now, I'm going to enjoy my sanctuary (nature and the great outdoors) and count my blessings. Happy August!

J U L Y ~
Rain! Glorious rain! I haven't taken a lot of pictures due to our rainy weather. We are so grateful for the moisture. Some of the down pours were so hard, many of my perennials and roses were flattened. Most seem to recover if given a few hours of sunshine. Happy FOURTH OF JULY to those celebrating. I'm focusing on the good and not letting all the negativity out there take away my feeling of gatitude for what God has given us.

It's been a busy time with family, haying, new pets and other summer activites. I haven't posted in a while so here are a few rose portraits from the gardens.
