It is with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Steve Hite, the founder and heart of UltraGreen LawnCare.
Steve’s passion, integrity, and commitment to quality service made a lasting impact on the many families and communities he served. He will be deeply missed.
My name is Mike, Steve’s nephew. For the past six months, I had been working closely with him and was in the process of purchasing the business. Since his passing, there has unfortunately been a family dispute regarding the future of Ultra Green. Some individuals who were previously estranged from Steve are now promoting outside services and making unsolicited contact with customers.
To be clear — no one currently has legal authority to operate the business.
As Steve held the required license for herbicide and pesticide applications, I’ve been taking the necessary steps to become licensed myself so the business can operate legally and responsibly when the time comes.
As a result, there will be a temporary pause in lawn treatments. I understand the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely appreciate your patience as we navigate this transition.
I want to apologize for the recent silence — I had been holding off on communication in hopes that the family could reach an agreement on how to move forward with the business.
Once the estate process is complete, the family reaches a mutual understanding, and the proper steps are in place, please rest assured that your lawn will be cared for with the same dedication Steve was known for. This message isn’t intended to create division, it’s simply to keep his valued customers informed during this time.
