No heat call, rusted out heat exchanger which unfortunately that means we legally can not turn this unit back on. Needs new heat exchanger or more often than not what we recommend is new furnace with bumper to bumper warranty.

Leaking condenser, found leak, and fixed it. Pressure tested with nitrogen and refilled with R22 replacement. New replacement gas is fully compatible in r22 equipment with no modifications, many times cheaper than r22, readily available, and is actually 5% more energy efficient! In 20 years this was the first repair to this unit, they really don’t make them like they used to so don’t replace it with new one just because a simple leak. Customer in Albemarle was complaining about bad airflow and musty smell. We got to the bottom of it in short matter! A return duct was severed in the crawl space causing all that dirty crawl space air getting sucked in and well here’s the results. The dirt was so thick it was like cemented onto the coil but we did our absolute best without using aggressive acid chemicals. If you have reduced airflow or musty smell give us a call for an inspection! 704-445-2255
