The spiderwort covered this whole garden, everything was competing and stretching for light. The soil is a dense mat of roots and loaded with extra seed. Digging everything would reap havoc when everything germinated. We chose the lesser evil, pulled all the green shoots and left the roots. We also added roses, peonies, yarrow, poppies, blanket flower, echinacea, sedum, and bugbane. This weekend the home owners will sheet mulch the open parts to help battle its come back exhausting its energy over the next few seasons and Dirty Hands Yard co will be there to guide and offer a helping hand them every step of the way.
