The most important part of every dock is the part you'll never see once it's finished: the frame.
Here's what went under the decking on this one 👇
✅ 12" on-center joist spacing. Most docks are framed at 16" on center, and some are framed even wider. We frame every composite dock at 12", no matter which brand you choose, because tighter spacing gives the boards more support and makes the whole dock feel stiffer and more solid underfoot.
✅ .60 CCA treated lumber for the framing
✅ Stainless steel screws throughout the framing
✅ Joist tape on every joist, so water doesn't sit on top of the wood and the frame lasts longer
Nobody sees this work once the decking goes down, but you'll feel the difference every time you walk out on your dock.
