"if I had a million dollars, I could do so much good!". Ya, but you wouldn't. That's most. Sounds good until you get yours, then somehow you were different..you deserved it, and ten times what you had still isn't quite enough. I will tell you a secret, you can do lots of good, just because you are a good person. You don't need just a "little extra"..or to hit some sort of goal. You don't have to "have enough peeps on your socials". You can just do good things and know you did it because it was in you to do. That's what millions of people do everyday, you just didn't see the Pinterest/instagram photo announcing it, so you didn't know that is an option. 🤷

Back in my safe place (home). Enjoyed shopping and conversation with my friend. Had a few hiccups but all worked out. South haven has changed a lot as far as atmosphere and people goes since I was last there like ten years ago. We have some stories to laugh about.."no thank you". And by changed, I don't mean improved. More like the kinda women that makes some of us walk around thinking we have to be extra nice to others, to make up for these types. We still enjoyed each other's company. We found a quiet beach to wander this morning before heading home.

Just checking in to check on y'all. Did you eat today? Did you drink some water? Did you touch grass? We have a busy afternoon, but will be up and at it at the shop some next weekend. Don't forget Sparrow Jade Social Club amazing garden party on June 6th. Beach day with an amazing friend tmrw for me. Sometimes there is work to do, sometimes you gotta play as hard as you work too. Take time to take care of you. You matter.

Happy Friday. My little grape vines have tiny grapes this year. Not sure if they will make it to harvest, but hoping to get them going over an actual structure and maybe next year to produce enough to make something. They are cute though. Working on some irrigation stuff later today for the garden and beach trip tmrw. Will probably be able to spend some time with the shop open next weekend. I will at least be in to keep working on some upcycle projects.

My husband's shop laid off 47 people today. Coachman Forest River. Just so the public is aware that the lay offs are true. 🤷

"regular" people I know...I could never run for office or deal with the public etc. I just don't think I'm qualified, knowledgeable, or skilled enough in the areas I should be. Me, well that's great you understand it's a responsibility to do the work in which others depend on you. You are already ahead morally more than the rest, why do you think our offices are all filled with narcissists, sociopaths, and the greedy and corrupt? They lack any internal understanding of that. Plus..have you spoken to most of these people? Seems like having experience or skill or knowledge, isn't even on their lists of "probably should have qualifications". Ego has won for decades and gained us nothing. Don't you think it's time maybe some of the rest of you humbles and authentics gave it a shot? Not me, I'm not humble, I know I have a talent for pi***ng people off. But some of you nice people, you should definitely do something in this area.

I got some parts to start working on our rain barrels here. We want to make sure we have it figured out, then we have a few friends who want to try. It may not be the top solution, it may not make big dents...but doing something with what you have is better than doing nothing at all. In a world where everyone wants to convince you, you don't matter, or your efforts have no value, I've always been curious why those who do nothing and have never done anything, claim themselves the experts. If your efforts, no matter how small were pointless, they wouldn't even notice you would they? If you had no value...they wouldn't believe it their mission or responsibility to tell you not to bother. Small gestures, small push back, does far more than you think, because every stone in the pond creates a ripple, and another and another. Their discomfort at you still caring, proves your impact and their lie.
