Our home was struck by lightning and needed roof repair. We were very blessed to be connected with G. A. Bolt Roofing through our contractor. Georgeann was incredible to work with and supported us through every step of the process.
No one plans for their home to be struck by lightning, but when it does, you want Georgeann by your side! She came with a plan and assisted with the insurance claim. She went to bat for us to make sure the value of our home was protected. The shingles on the existing roof were discontinued and she took the time to protect the interest of her client while also keeping the highest level of integrity with the insurance agency in mind.
I never once felt like we were "just another repair" on their list. There were multiple visits to our home to inspect, measure, consult on shingle colors and types, etc.
She was responsive and professional - literally sending communication at 6:30am to keep us informed and was onsite until at least 8:30pm on the day of the roof replacement to make sure progress was going well.
Every member of the team was courteous and respectful and I could not be more pleased with the outcome of our new roof!

Information Every Homeowner Should Know…..

How does roof ventilation work?

It’s All About Airflow…. See picture below.

Roof ventilation is based on the simple fact that warm air rises. In summer, the sun heats air in the attic. In winter, heat from your home warms attic air. In either season, good venting occurs when cool air can enter the attic near the eaves and exit near the peak. Ideally, half of the vent area should be low and half high. The ultimate goal is that the temperature and humidity levels in the attic space match the conditions outdoors.

For intake air, soffit vents are best. Air can passively exit through ridge vents or hood vents. Turbine vents harness the wind to suck air out of the attic. Electric-powered vents are the ultimate air movers but aren’t necessary in most situations. Gable vents can help by allowing air in or out, but they don’t usually help the air flow evenly throughout the attic.

GA Bolt will get the job done! When all of our neighborhood had their roofs replaced after hail damage our insurance turned us down, we were frustrated and eventually gave up. Kevin offered to take a look he won us over with how friendly and easygoing he is.

Not only were Kevin and Georgeanne able to work their magic with our claims adjuster and get us our new roof, they did it quickly and cleanly. Kevin was so patient with my questions, concerns, and worked around my busy schedule. Thanks Kevin!
