A few weeks back we helped a customer solve a major erosion problem in their front yard. Heavy runoff had washed away much of the topsoil and left the yard struggling to grow grass.

We installed a shallow lined riprap drainage channel to safely carry the water through the property, then brought in topsoil and seeded the area to help restore the yard.

After the heavy rains yesterday, the customer sent us this video update and we were excited to see everything working exactly like it should. Water is flowing where it’s supposed to, the channel is holding up great, and the grass is coming in nicely.

It’s always good to go back after a big rain and see a project doing its job.

A few weeks ago we installed a pipe here to help with a drainage problem. With all the heavy rain lately, we wanted to swing back by and check on it.

Thankfully everything is holding up great. Grass is growing in, nothing is washing out, and the area is staying stable just like we hoped.

Day 3 back in Jackson County… and today turned into a mud fest. 😅

We’ve been making good progress cleaning this property up the last few days, but after all the rain, the road in finally said “not today.” Instead of rutting everything up, we called it and will hit it again once things dry out a little.

That’s just part of working in the hills this time of year.

Back at it in Jackson County today. 🚜🌾

Spent the day tackling a heavy duty bush hogging job on a steep hillside down in a Jackson County holler. Thick brush, rough terrain, and plenty of slope, but we got it cleaned up and opened things back up.

Wrapped up a really nice project this week for Bruce, Alma, and their daughter Emily in Cookeville.

We regraded the front yard to improve drainage, built a stone-lined channel to carry water, reshaped the driveway, and added a walkway using stepping stone pavers and railroad ties.

Bruce had a solid sketch of what he wanted, and we were able to take that vision and bring it to life.

Everything came together really well! Appreciate the opportunity to help with this project.
