Thank You to everyone that visited us at the 25th Annual North Suburban Home Show this past weekend!

We enjoyed getting a chance to catch up with current clients, city officials, fellow contractors and of course meeting lots new potential clients and answering all your landscape questions!

With the recent nice weather you could definitely feel the excitement for spring to arrive in a few short weeks.

Though it requires a lot of hard work, we were very happy with how our booth came out this year! It was fun to see everyone’s face light up as they entered the gym and come over to check out the display.

Thank You to those that left consultation requests. We look forward to continue discussing your projects this week!

WHAT A DAY!

Thank You to everyone that visited us yesterday at the North Suburban Home Show. We look forward to further discussing your projects! Spring is in the air and you could feel the excitement with how busy the show was. We can’t wait to get the season underway in a few short weeks.

We are thankful for the opportunity to partner with our friends at C**n Rapids Ace Hardware to create an outdoor living space in the shows main courtyard area. We were happy with how it turned out and it certainly drew attention of show attendees.

Special thanks to Samantha and Brandon at Rock Hard Landscape Supply for always supporting our endeavors and assisting with our display/booth setup. Also to Keith with Rochester Concrete Products for providing us with one of their brand new paver products “Silhouette” in the Mist and Flint color options for the display patio.

Lastly, it was great getting a chance to catch up with other local contractor friends like Matz Landscaping & Design. Great when you can hangout in your “competitions” booth and help pass out their cards to potential customers. We can all achieve more when we work together.

We’re going to get some much needed rest before another busy week ahead as we get ready for the 2024 landscape season!

We are excited to be back again at this year’s North Suburban Home Show on Saturday, March 9th from 8am -2pm at the Andover YMCA Community Center.

We have some exciting things in store for this years show…👀 We will also be offering a spring patio special!

“THE NEW STANDARD”

Yesterday we got the opportunity to be some of the first to tour Rochester Concrete Products new 45,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Jordan. Rochester Concrete Products is our primary manufacturer of all pavers used in our projects.

While touring the facility, we learned each step of the paver making process starting from raw materials all the way to being ready for job site installation. We also learned how RCP’s new state-of-the-art technology revolutionizes the paver making process and creates “THE NEW STANDARD” in color, quality and innovation in the hardscape industry.

We also got a sneak peak at 4 new products coming out this year……all we can say is wow! We can’t wait to use them in a project!

Special thanks to Keith and the RCP team for the invite and hospitality. We are proud to use a local company and Minnesota made products in our jobs. We’re looking forward to some exciting things coming up this season!

We had a blast today attending C**n Rapids High School’s Trades Day event!

We enjoyed getting the opportunity to meet several students and answer their questions about our industry and career opportunities.

We felt preveliged to represent our trade amongst several others in attendance. It’s always a special event for our Owner Jordan who is a CRHS alumni. It was refreshing to see students get excited about the trades. Whether it’s welding, plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, landscaping, etc. we’re always supportive of a students choice to pursue a career in the trades.

Annnnd yes 😉 that is a full size mower in the building!

Special Thanks to Brenda Mitshulis (CRHS Career & College Specialist) and school Admin for being supportive of our crazy ideas and allowing us to bring the machine in. It appeared the students and staff loved it. We already have ideas for next year!

Northern Green 2024

Last week our team enjoyed attending the Northern Green Expo that took place at St Paul’s RiverCentre.

We enjoyed three packed days of learning from industry leaders, networking and trying out new products and equipment.

Here at DeVries Lawn and Landscape we put an emphasis on furthering education for our team so we can continue to sharpen our skills and overall client experience. Attending events like this allow us to do just that.

We have a lot of exciting things planned for this season and can’t wait to get it underway!

DeVries Lawn and Landscape is proud to support other local businesses and organizations doing good in our community.

When he’s not installing landscapes, our owner Jordan serves as a committee member for Toys for Joy.

Toys for Joy is a local nonprofit that assists families here in the Anoka County area that are in need during the holiday season by providing toys and meals. This year they were able to serve over 4,000 kids! You read that right! 4,000 kids that will now wake up Christmas morning with gifts under the tree and a healthy meal to enjoy.

This past week was distribution at the Anoka Armory. In the span of a week they collect, sort and distribute all the donations through a store style format at the Armory where recipients are guided through the space by an “elf” that ensures they get the right services for their need(s).

We were happy to provide usage of our trailer for additional bike storage and transportation of donations and other supplies to and from the Anoka Armory. Jordan was also there all week assisting in all aspects of distribution.

We are proud to be a company that does good in our community and look forward to supporting their mission for years to come.
