Michigan winter hits different, because the second the first snowflake falls, everyone starts doing mental math like, “Alright… are the roads getting plowed, or are we just doing vibes again this year?” People are sliding through intersections like it’s an Olympic event, while the state is out here tossing down the same three sad grains of salt they’ve been reusing since 2009.

That’s why this right here feels like the obvious solution. Forget regular road salt. Michigan needs full McDonald’s fry salt trucks rolling down I 94 like a fast food blizzard response team. Just blasting seasoning everywhere like, “Don’t worry folks, the roads are now lightly crispy and statistically safer.”

And honestly, it would work perfectly for Michigan culture. You’d see a plow coming and immediately feel comforted, not because it’s clearing snow, but because suddenly the whole highway smells like fries. People wouldn’t even be mad about traffic anymore. They’d be sitting in gridlock like, “Well, at least it’s seasoned.”

At this point, Michigan doesn’t need more salt, it needs branding. Put the Golden Arches on the plows, hand out ketchup packets at the rest stops, and call it what it is: winter road maintenance, but make it delicious.
