🧰 Toolbox Talk: Machines don’t care if you’re “just fixing something,” they’ll bite if you’re not careful.

If you skip lockout/tagout, stored energy can turn a quick fix into a trip to the ER.

Tip: If it’s not locked and tagged, don’t touch it. Put your own lock and tag in place, verify the machine is de-energized, and skip the “just this once” mentality. Shortcuts aren't worth the consequences.

Lockout/tagout saves more limbs than luck ever will.

🧰 Toolbox Talk: If you don’t know what you’re working with, you’re guessing. Chemicals, fuels, mystery barrels: if it’s on site, it’s got a risk (even if it doesn’t look scary).

Tip: Know where to find the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and how to access them electronically. “Somewhere in the trailer” doesn’t count. If something looks sketchy, ask questions before you touch it.

Clear communication keeps you out of the “oops” zone.

🧰 Toolbox Talk - Fall protection: because flying is for birds, not builders. Even a quick step up can turn into a quick trip down; fall protection isn’t just for daredevils.

Tip: Use the right fall protection and inspect it before you clip in, because a harness that’s “almost right” won’t help.

Remember, gravity doesn’t take days off.
