Another water damage repair project completed by OCD Construction! 🏠

A plumbing leak caused water damage to the ceilings in this home, requiring damaged sheetrock to be removed and replaced in multiple areas.

🔨 Here’s what went into this project:

✅ Removed water-damaged drywall to access affected areas.

✅ Installed new sheetrock where needed.

✅ Taped, mudded, and finished all repaired areas.

✅ Matched the existing ceiling texture for a seamless finish.

✅ Primed and painted the repaired ceilings to bring everything back together.

🛑 One thing we take seriously is protecting our customers’ homes!

Before getting into the messy work, we installed a floor-to-ceiling plastic dust containment barrier to separate our work area from the rest of the home. Drywall removal, sanding, and texture work can create a LOT of dust, and the last thing we want is that dust traveling throughout someone’s house!

🏠🔨 OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW! ANOTHER ROOF COMPLETED BY OCD CONSTRUCTION! 💪

Sometimes a roofing job turns into a little more than just replacing shingles! This project was a perfect example of why it’s important to do things right from the start.

Once we started tearing off the old roofing, we uncovered some rotted and water-damaged roof sheathing that needed attention before the new roof could go on.

🔨 Here’s what went into this project:

✅ Complete removal of the old roofing

✅ Inspected roof decking for hidden damage

✅ Removed and replaced rotted and damaged sheathing

✅ Installed new roofing underlayment

✅ Installed new architectural shingles

✅ Finished off the ridges, valleys, and roof penetrations

✅ Gave this home a fresh new look and protection from the Oregon Coast weather! 🌧️🌲

Another shower transformation by OCD Construction!

Sometimes you have to tear it all down to build it back better! This shower got a much-needed upgrade, and what a difference it makes!

Here’s what went into this project:

🔨 Removed the old shower surround and outdated materials.

🪚 Installed new wall sheeting to provide a solid foundation.

💧 Upgraded the shower plumbing.

🛁 Installed a new shower pan.

🛡️ Applied RedGard waterproofing to protect the shower walls from moisture.

🚿 Installed beautiful new shower surround panels with a modern woodgrain finish.

🔨 A LITTLE LATE POSTING, BUT THIS LAUNDRY ROOM TRANSFORMATION DESERVES SOME ATTENTION! 🏡🔥

We wrapped up this laundry room remodel back in November, and somehow these pictures never made it onto the page! Better late than never! 😎

What started as an outdated laundry room turned into a fresh, clean, and much more functional space!

🛠️ Here’s what went into this transformation:

✅ Removed the old flooring and installed beautiful new flooring

✅ Installed white beadboard wainscoting for a clean, classic look

✅ Fresh paint to brighten up the entire room

✅ Installed new baseboards, trim, and crown molding

✅ Added upper cabinets for extra storage

✅ Installed tall pantry-style storage cabinets

✅ Built in a convenient folding countertop

✅ Finished everything off with clean white accents and hardware

The combination of sage-green walls, crisp white trim, and gray flooring really brought this room together! 💪

It’s amazing how much difference a little planning, hard work, and attention to detail can make in a space that’s used every day!

🔨 Another little project wrapped up by OCD Construction! 🏡🐾

Sometimes it’s the smaller projects that make a big difference!

We gave this existing walkway a nice finishing touch by adding new handrail caps, along with some additional railing and a custom gate at the front steps to help keep the four-legged family members safe and secure! 🐶

It’s always a pleasure working for great customers, but this one definitely kept me laughing throughout the project! 😂 Couldn’t ask for a nicer customer or a more enjoyable job!

“Can you build me a set of stairs?”
Sure… but how about a set that disappears when you don’t need it? 😎🔨

This customer needed access to their loft without permanently taking up valuable shop floor space. So I drew up a design and brought it to life!

⚙️ Custom-built loft staircase
⬆️ Winch-powered to raise and lower when needed
🪚 Built from scratch specifically for the space
📐 Custom handrails and support system
💪 Raises completely out of the way to open the shop back up

Definitely one of those projects where a little creativity and problem-solving goes a long way. I really enjoyed taking an idea and turning it into something functional and unique.

Another little project knocked out 🔨🚪
Thank you for your business once again

This crawl-space access started out with a basic piece of OSB covering the opening. We opened it up, trimmed everything out, and built a custom access door to give it a much cleaner, finished look while still keeping the crawl space easy to access.

Finished it off with exterior trim, siding to match the building, contrasting paint, and new hardware.

🚪 Another Upgrade Completed by OCD Construction! 🔨

Out with the old and in with the new! This old shed door had definitely seen better days, so we gave the entrance a much-needed upgrade.

We removed the old door and trim, prepped the opening, added proper flashing at the threshold to help protect against moisture, and installed a brand-new exterior door with fresh trim. We also built a new pressure-treated landing, set on a solid paver base for a clean, sturdy entrance.

It’s the little projects that can make a big difference — better appearance, easier access, and added protection from the Oregon weather. 🌧️💪

🔨 Another Deck Project Complete! 🔨

Finally getting around to posting the finished pictures of this one! This project turned out awesome and completely transformed this backyard into a space that’s ready for entertaining, relaxing, and enjoying those Oregon Coast evenings.

We finished this deck with composite decking, a clean picture-frame border, wide steps leading from the covered porch, and integrated LED lighting in the stair risers and around the deck. The lighting really sets this project off once the sun goes down! 💡

💧 Water Damage Repair — Getting This Bathroom Back Together! 🔨

What started as a leaking hot water heater water line turned into some pretty extensive subfloor damage. Once we opened everything up, we were able to expose the damaged areas and get things repaired the right way.

We removed the damaged subfloor and compromised materials, repaired and resecured the wall framing, installed new subfloor and underlayment, refinished the damaged sheetrock, and finished it off with new flooring.

Water damage can hide a lot underneath the surface, so sometimes you don’t know exactly what you’re dealing with until you open it up. The important part is fixing the source, removing the damaged material, and rebuilding it correctly from the framing up.
