🚧 Jose Family Homesite Update 🚧

Big progress this week.

Foundation framing is complete, and crews are now preparing select fill, interior beams, and footers before concrete placement.

A strong home starts long before the concrete is poured.

One thing that stood out while taking these photos? Several JDBC-built homes can be seen in the background. Seeing families living in homes we built years ago while preparing another family’s future home is something we’re incredibly proud of.

This office is sacred ground.

It’s where we build, eat, breathe, stress, celebrate victories, solve problems, and occasionally even sleep…all in pursuit of making our clients’ dreams a reality.

There’s something about this view before sunrise that hits a little different every time.

Over the years, we’ve heard plenty of people say, “Must be nice being big and rich.”

Are we big? Far from it.

Rich with money? Not even close.

But we are rich in something far more valuable.

We’re rich in an incredible team of employees who show up every day ready to work.

We’re rich in subcontractors and vendors who have stood beside us for years.

We’re rich in clients who trust us with some of the largest investments of their lives.

And we’re rich in opportunities to keep building.

So when someone says, “Must be nice,” our answer is simple:

You know what? It actually is.

Not because it’s easy. Not because there haven’t been sacrifices, long nights, missed weekends, stress, risk, and countless lessons learned along the way.

It’s nice because we’ve been blessed with the opportunity to do what we love alongside great people.

Tomorrow morning the lights will come back on, the coffee will start brewing, and we’ll do it all over again.

“Old Glory” is more than a flag. It is a reminder of the men and women who have defended our nation, our communities, and our way of life. It is honored, respected, and protected through the sacrifices of those willing to give their lives, fortunes, and futures for the freedoms we enjoy today.

What started as a cleared homesite and a vision became a one-of-a-kind family retreat complete with a custom home, detached garage, wraparound porches, and resort-style pool.

From dirt work and foundations to framing, finishes, and finally handing over the keys, this project was an incredible journey for both our team and the homeowners.

These photos are a reminder that every dream home starts with a single stake in the ground.

🏡 Builder Tip Wednesday

Treat your clients like family, and they’ll return. Better yet, they’ll refer.

Approximately 15 years ago, JDBC completed this one-of-a-kind ranch home tucked away in the Gatesville countryside.

A house was built, but more importantly, a relationship was created.

Today, 15 years later, we’re back helping prepare this beautiful property for a large summer gathering. Over the past month, our team has been hard at work completing:

✔️ Over 1,500 square feet of new masonry sidewalks and walkways
✔️ Landscape improvements and cleanup
✔️ Yard grading and sod restoration
✔️ General property enhancements and maintenance items
✔️ A long list of projects to help this ranch look its absolute best

And we’re not done yet.

As we speak, we’re putting the finishing touches on a custom ranch entry featuring a sliding gate that will completely transform the entrance to the property.

Even beyond that, we’ll soon begin construction on a full renovation of another 3,200-square-foot ranch home located on the same property that our client recently acquired.

Here’s today’s Builder Tip:

Anyone can build a house. Not everyone can build relationships that last 15 years.

When you genuinely care about your clients, stand behind your work, answer the phone after closing, and treat their project as if it were your own family’s home, they remember.

The greatest compliment a builder can receive isn’t a review.

It’s a phone call years later saying:

“We’re ready for the next project.”
