For the past several weeks, Texas HomePro, our family, and our employees have been the target of an ongoing campaign of harassment, false accusations, and personal attacks across social media, not just against the company but also the families and wives of ownership.
We have remained quiet because we believed that social media is not the proper outlet for disputes and didn’t want to entertain gossip as well as gathering evidence. Unfortunately, the harassment has only escalated, causing employees, customers and our partners to be negatively impacted.
This weekend, two terminated ex-employees illegally trespassed on our business property without our permission and removed a company trailer and materials. One of these individuals had previously attempted to buy into Texas HomePro for an ownership stake but did not uphold that agreement. We have documented the incident and are cooperating fully with law enforcement. Out of respect for that process, and because the criminal investigation is ongoing, we will not be discussing the details publicly at this time, nor do we believe that social media is the proper outlet. They have also made countless posts in Facebook groups that have been documented and sent to legal counsel and the proper authorities. Their goal is to cause a “run on the bank” situation. They have not filed any legal documents or official complaints to our knowledge.
We understand there are two sides to every story, which is exactly why we believe these matters should be handled through the proper legal channels — not Facebook. In a civilized society, if adults have a dispute, then you go through the court system, not make threats of violence, lying, intimidation, harassment, blackmail, slander, corporate espionage and theft. And you definitely do not involve families.
To set a few things straight: Texas HomePro has been in business since 2019 and held an office inside Copperas Cove city limits for over 3 years. We have served approximately 400-500 customers per year. We have also donated time and materials to many veterans groups and local communities for years in an attempt to give back to the community. We have won many awards and have hundreds of five-star reviews online. No one is committing fraud, and that is a disgusting allegation. Our lease is up at our office in Copperas Cove and the owner wishes to sell the building, which is his right to do so. That doesn’t mean that we are going out of business, that just means that we may not be in that building. Also, we have completed every municipal project that we were awarded except for a few things at the Courthouse, which will be installed later this week, and then we will be done there as well. Call the city and ask if you’d like.
Anyone is more than welcome to visit our office or call in and schedule an in-person meeting or phone call with ownership if you’d like more information. We are not hiding — our names are Joshua Beal and Dwayne Beal, and most of our customers have dealt with us directly. We are a small family-owned business trying to provide income for our families, paid sick leave, paid vacation, a livable wage and PTO time for our employees in an industry where those things are very rare, as well as providing a valuable service to our communities. Are we perfect? No. But are we scammers? Absolutely not. You cannot be in business since 2019 and have tons of repeat customers and referrals by doing bad business. We have had over 100 employees over the years, and only 4 have quit since inception, which is an extremely low turnover rate. Do we owe someone money? Of course. So do you. And we are owed as well. That’s business.
To our customers, subcontractors, and community: Texas HomePro is still here. We are continuing to serve our customers, complete projects, and honor our commitments. We appreciate those who have reached out with support and those who have waited to hear directly from us before forming an opinion.
This will be our only public statement on these matters while they are being addressed through the appropriate channels. We have been in communication with the authorities, and they are handling this situation with professionalism.
