Septic work is not something you want to figure out mid-emergency.

Whether you are building new, replacing a system that has aged out, or dealing with one that has been giving you trouble, a septic installation takes planning. Sizing it correctly for your household, siting it properly on your lot, and getting the permits handled all happen before anyone starts digging.

We install septic systems across the tri-county area, and we take care of the permitting and materials as part of the job rather than leaving that to you.

If a septic install is on your radar for this year or next, we are happy to walk through what it involves. Call (606) 344-9075.

Take a look at the floor around your water heater. It's one of the easiest checks in your house and one of the most useful.

What you are looking for is moisture, water staining, corrosion around the base or fittings, or a small puddle that keeps reappearing. Water heaters rarely fail all at once. They tend to give you some warning first, and a slow drip is usually it.

Catching it at the drip stage means you get to plan the replacement. Waiting means the replacement gets planned for you, usually at a bad time.

Spotted moisture around your unit? We will come look and give you an estimate. Call (606) 344-9075.

Hot water that goes cold three minutes into a shower is not something you should have to plan around.

Temperature swings, water that never quite gets hot, or a tank that runs out much faster than it used to are all signs the unit needs attention. Most people respond by nudging the temperature dial up and hoping it holds, which usually buys a few weeks at best.

Getting it looked at is a lot less disruptive than waiting for the day it quits entirely.

If your hot water has become unpredictable, reach out at (606) 344-9075 or tricounty-plumbing.com.

Your hot water can tell you quite a bit about your water heater, if you know what to look for.

A few things worth paying attention to:

▪️ Rusty or discolored water coming from the hot tap
▪️ A metallic smell or taste that was not there before
▪️ Sediment or grit showing up in the water
▪️ Water that looks cloudy when it first comes out

Here is the useful test. Run your cold water and compare. If the problem only shows up on the hot side, your water heater is the likely culprit rather than your supply line.

We can find out where it is coming from. Call (606) 344-9075.

Building a new house, adding a bathroom, or redoing the one you have? Bring a plumber in earlier than you think you need to.

Fixture placement, supply lines, drain routing, and permit requirements are all much easier to get right before walls go up. Sorting them out after the fact is where renovation budgets tend to go sideways.

We handle residential installations across the tri-county area, and we take care of the permits and materials ourselves, so that is not one more thing on your list.

If you have a bathroom project coming up, we are glad to talk through it early. Call (606) 344-9075.

Some drain problems keep coming back no matter how many times they get cleared. That usually means something else is going on.

A camera inspection takes the guesswork out of it. We run a specialized camera through the line and see exactly what is happening inside the pipe, whether it's a blockage, a cracked section, root intrusion, or buildup that keeps causing the same issue.

It also means you can see the problem yourself before deciding on a repair, rather than taking someone's word for it.

For a recurring drain or sewer issue, a camera inspection is the place to start. Learn more at tricounty-plumbing.com or call (606) 344-9075.

Rumbling. Popping. A knocking sound that seems to come from nowhere.

Tank-style water heaters do not usually make noise for no reason. Those sounds are often associated with sediment settling and hardening near the bottom of the tank, and once that builds up, the unit has to work harder to heat the same amount of water.

It's worth looking at before it starts affecting how well the unit performs. Call us at (606) 344-9075 or visit tricounty-plumbing.com.

Running toilets are one of the most common sources of wasted water in a house, and one of the easiest things to fix.

A toilet that keeps running after the flush is usually losing water continuously, and it often comes down to a worn or misaligned flapper inside the tank. A few things to listen for:

▪️ Water still running well after you flush
▪️ A toilet that refills on its own without anyone using it
▪️ Having to jiggle the handle to make it stop
▪️ A faint hiss coming from the tank

Some leaks are silent, which is why they can go months without anyone catching them.

If a toilet in your house has been doing any of the above, it's usually a quick fix. Give us a call at (606) 344-9075.

Today we honor and thank the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice so we could call this country home, and we honor the families who live with that sacrifice everyday. May we never forget the true meaning of Memorial Day. 🇺🇸
