California Fuchsia, or Zauschneria or Epilobium, is a California native plant that is loved by hummingbirds and other native pollinators. This low growing plant prefers partial to filtered shade and is best established when planted in the late fall or very early spring. Zauschneria is an excellent foreground plant in beds or pockets of green - I recommend planting visible from a window or seating area. [ 125 more words. ]
