Part 6: 650-Foot Chain-Link Project — Final Walkthrough ✅

After following this project from the beginning, it's time to show you how everything came together.

The finished system goes far beyond the 650 feet of chain-link fencing and privacy slats. The automatic gate is operating smoothly with a Linear keypad for controlled entry, an optical sensor for free exit, and timed closing.

The walk gate also features panic-bar hardware for exit, reinforced gate construction, and a combination lock for controlled re-entry. A few additional site details, including bollards to protect the keypad area, complete the setup.

This project had a tight timeline, required plenty of coordination, and showed exactly why the details matter on a commercial fence and gate installation.

Part 5: 650-Foot Chain-Link Project – Beating the Deadline 🚧

We're almost ready to wrap up this project.

The crew is finishing the privacy slats the old-fashioned way—one slat at a time—with multiple teams working across the site to keep everything moving.

The project deadline was Monday, but the team pushed hard enough to get the work completed before the weekend without having to come back Saturday. 💪

Once the site is cleaned up and the finishing touches are complete, we'll return for a full walkthrough showing how the entire fencing and gate system came together.

Part 4: Greenwood Wastewater Treatment Plant – Final Stages 🚧

This commercial security project is nearly complete.

All four Ameristar security gates have been installed, along with the gate rails and high-security automatic gate operators. Our next phase includes installing the card readers, edge safety sensors, completing a few final site adjustments, and preparing the system for full operation.

At this point, the only major item we're waiting on is permanent electrical power. Once power is available, we'll finish programming, test every access point, and complete the final commissioning of the system.

A good fence can still fail if the wrong upgrades are added.

While visiting a project that another contractor built, we noticed something worth sharing.

The chain link fence itself appeared to be well constructed, but after installation, a windscreen was added across the fence. In an area like Corpus Christi, where strong wind events are common, that dramatically increases the wind load placed on the posts and framework.

The result was predictable: the windscreen acted like a sail, causing the fence to fail and creating an expensive repair that could have been avoided with proper planning.

This isn't about criticizing another contractor—it's about helping property owners understand that every modification affects how a fence performs.

This project is entering its final stages.

The structural beam is installed, decorative cross beams and custom brackets have been added, and the new split rail fence is coming together exactly as planned. During this visit, we're taking the final measurements for the custom gates so fabrication can begin.

The homeowner also decided to expand the project by adding another section to the front of the property, giving us even more to show in the final reveal.

Part 2: Split Rail Fence Project Progress 🤠

We're back with another update from our split rail fence project in Corpus Christi.

The new three-rail split rail fence is now taking shape around the property. Structural beams have been installed and reinforced using custom-fabricated galvanized steel straps to provide long-term strength and stability.
