Good morning, y’all!

We have a new summer schedule, we don’t close for lunch and stay opened an extra hour at the end of the day!

Just recently we got into a bad deal; ZACHRY INDUSTRIAL, a large construction firm, ordered from us a little over 20k worth of materials that they knew they were not gonna pay. Week after week of payment promises, ZACHRY filed for bankruptcy and now they say that, if we want to get paid, we need to get in line with the court system… and get paid little by little over several years.

Well, we can’t do that; so what can we do? We can work harder, we need to help our selves first because things are not gonna get better by waiting. We are people of action.

This is plan we came up with: Work longer hours, first. Work on trimming fat next, we reduced prices in most of our products, we achieved this by negotiating better deals with the producing quarries and our freight partners; we also reduced our margins. We know we must be really competitive with pricing and not just excel at customer service and location. Our competitors in town have the advantage of being located on cheaper land that pay less property taxes. We all know how expensive the island is! But that’s not a good reason to sell more expensive if we want to be competitive... that’s our solution.

- Best products.
- Best prices.
- Best customer service.
- Best location.
- Best hours of operation.

With our operational margins, we need to sell over $200,000 worth of rock just to make up for that $20,000 loss. So come and check us out and, if you like what we have to offer, buy some rocks from us! If you don’t need rocks, you can help by sharing this :)
