2026 is even better! This year we are planning TWO HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION EVENTS to help combat the long lines. The first event will be on April 11, 2026 at the Recycling Center on Pendleton St. from 8am - 12 NOON. No appointments necessary. This event is open ONLY TO CORTLAND COUNTY RESIDENTS and material from commercial entities cannot be accepted. Second event date has not been finalized but we are anticipating October like we did last year. STAY TUNED for more info!

Tonight felt a little different. Watching our local fire department train at our facility reminded us that first responders, both volunteer and career, don’t always get the credit they truly deserve.
Today, on National First Responders Day, we want to take an extra moment to thank all the brave men and women who dedicate their lives to keeping our communities safe.
We are proud to host our local fire departments for hands-on training exercises. We provide scrap vehicles for their rescue training, helping them stay prepared for the real world emergencies they face every day.
To all firefighters, EMTs, police officers, and first responders, thank you for your service, your courage, and your commitment. We appreciate everything you do! ❤️

Another Trunk or Treat in the books for our Spooky 👻 Crew!

This event keeps getting bigger every year! 🎃🍭🍬 Thank you to all who brought their little ghouls & goblins down. We loved seeing all the different costumes! 🤖💀🦋🤡🐶👽👹😺🦄

Trunk or Treat is THIS Saturday October 25th from 2-4pm!! We have over 40 businesses and organizations that will fill Main Street and be handing out treats!!🎃 There will also be a chicken BBQ on site - all proceeds to go to the Cortland Fire Department.🚒Hope to see you there!

If you don't see your item on the list, please call for more information. Remember - this is only open to Cortland County residents only and material from commercial entities will not be accepted. 607-753-5191
