Heavy smoke and severe fire damage completely covered this kitchen in soot. We cleared the destruction and rebuilt it from the ground up, featuring stunning deep navy cabinetry, bright quartz countertops, and a spacious new layout.

We stripped the space down to its bones, rebuilt the home, and designed a contemporary kitchen featuring elegant dark wood cabinetry, bright stone countertops, and updated modern fixtures.

The article highlights the next chapter of leadership at Paul Davis of South-Central Wisconsin while recognizing the foundation built by founder Jim Hirsch and previous owner and CEO Craig Slager, whose leadership, vision, and dedication helped shape our company and culture.

Twin brothers Alex and Jon Wuest joined their mother, CEO Connie Wuest, on the leadership team of Paul Davis of South-Central Wisconsin just before communities across the state were buffeted with unprecedented storms.

The Jacksonville, Florida-headquartered company — with over 370 locations across the United States and Canada — provides commercial and residential cleanup and restoration services following incidents involving water, fire, mold or storms.

In April, the local franchise, based in Cottage Grove with another office in Janesville, was tasked with responding to damage caused by weather conditions such as widespread flooding and hail the size of baseballs.

As the company settles into new leadership and stretches to meet spikes in local demand, the Wuests are planning ahead for expansions at the local office, while working to maintain the culture that drew them into business together.

Jim Hirsch, the retired founder of the Madison-area franchise, said the work the company does is crucial to help families recover from the unexpected.

In restoration, “contents” refers to the personal belongings inside a home or business

EXAMPLES: furniture, décor, electronics, collectibles, sentimental items, that are affected after a fire or water damage.

This figurine was impacted by smoke and soot damage after a fire, and our Contents Department carefully cleaned, deodorized, and restored it back to life.

In a powerful show of community support and corporate generosity, Alter Metal Recycling’s Southern Wisconsin Region, raised over $78,000 for the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin Charitable Foundation as part of Alter’s Go Green for the Green campaign. During the month of April proceeds from scrap metal donations were matched dollar-for-dollar by Alter.

The success of this campaign was amplified by the generosity of Alter’s customer and supplier network, with the largest single donation coming from Schmidts Auto, Inc. in the Madison area.

We would also like to thank the Waupun Fire Department, Paul Davis Restoration of South Central Wisconsin, and the Building and Trades Council of South Central Wisconsin for hosting scrap metal collection containers during the campaign.

Funds raised by this campaign will be used to support Charitable Foundation programming such as our annual summer camp for burn injured youth and first responder mental health peer support. For a small non-profit like ours, this is significant investment in our ability to help others.
