Light is the constant reminder to stay driven and focused and to provide a consistent and respected level of service. Our business model however comes from our dad, he left his job to start his business, it turns out his gut was right and was very successful. The clients and relationships he had built over the years and his lifelong commitment to his industry stuck with him, upholding his reputation. Those same principles, the fostering of relationships and the hands approach, along with some good practices gave way for his start-up to emerge. He coined the $275.00 appraisal; and it didn’t matter what the industry around him was doing. His people, people relying on him, knew just what product they were getting when they ordered their appraisal. Just because he could raise the price didn’t mean he would. Dirty business practices were never enough incentive for him to practice unethical behavior even if no one noticed. A principle well noted and worth application. More often than not his standard rate was lower than his competitors yet he still was able to run a successful business. We are hoping to take this from a plan of business- to taking care of business. As we open our doors in 2016 as an officially registered Limited Liability Company in Missouri, perfectly compliant with the regulations on operating businesses in our community. Green Light Lawn Care, your lawn care consultants, don’t want to be caught in the mix with the many other businesses doing the same thing. With that comes our first guarantee 2 things will happen: we will be a face to know and trust in the community and will be “hands on” with every service and project we take on. At some level we intend to have contact with the customers as well as the team to ensure the needs are being met by the customers and the employees have the resources to do the jobs we assign. Running our business has already, as it should in the beginning stages of every new business, started to turn into our lifestyle. A little about us both, we both have always found more fulfillment in doing our own work, done right the first time, and being outdoors as much as possible. To get there we both set out on separate journey’s one off business school to be a CPA and the other off to be a mechanical engineer, but in the end realizing a path was more suited for us. Combining our efforts to open a business of our own creation, making sure we get it right the first time, and getting to spend more time outside than we know what to do with. It wouldn’t make sense if we were to open up the business and forget about the time commitment necessary to follow through with our model, and becoming a leader in the industry. Our career path has been chosen, it is entrepreneurship, this business founded in 2013 meant setting aside personal goal like our college education. Today we are educated and experienced and as part of long term goals we are working to give and provide our employees with access to those same resources. We are setting up programs for employees who are students and young adults; to allow them a chance to get more than just work experience out of our lawn care service. We want our team to develop and grow and are here to do assist in every way possible.
