We’re proud to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of the new Lajaunie Bridge in partnership with Lafayette Consolidated Government!

Delivered through DOTD’s Off-System Bridge Replacement Program, this project is a great example of how state and local collaboration can bring critical infrastructure improvements to our communities. By leveraging federal funding and working closely with local partners, we’re able to replace aging bridges with safer, more reliable structures.

The new bridge will enhance connectivity and provide a safer route for residents, businesses, and first responders for years to come.
