Many people have asked, so I wanted to share an official update here.
Sadly, the owner of Steve’s A to Z Appliance, Steve Inns, passed away on December 20, 2025. Due to his severe illness and subsequent passing, he was unable to continue operating the business.
The repair side of our 30-year history will continue forward through two trusted local businesses. Leif Erickson of A-Z Appliance Repair has taken over the main phone line, and customers can still call (530) 347-1024 to schedule service with him. In addition, Marvin continues to serve the community independently and can be reached directly at (530) 339-6138. Together, that same commitment to honest, reliable service carries on through both.
To our long-time and loyal community, thank you for allowing our family to call this home. Steve came in nearly six days a week for three decades, taking only one vacation a year. He knew many customers by name, often remembered what they had purchased years later, and genuinely cared.
Serving families across Cottonwood, Red Bluff, and the surrounding North State meant everything to him. As his family, we will always be grateful for the decades of support, loyalty, and relationships built through this business.
Steve’s sales career began in the Bay Area in the 1970s. He and Pat moved to the area in the early 1980s, where he worked as a sales manager in Red Bluff. In 1995, Steve and his daughter Christine started their own appliance business, eventually moving into the 20804 Front St location in 1996.
This page will remain up as an archive in memory of both our family and the community.
