Local 150 Business Agent Freddy Alvarez lays it out plain: QSL has a serious safety problem, and workers as well as the public and customers are the ones paying the price. A federal agency has already found merit to 9 ULP charges, and with the running list of safety concerns and workplace problems growing, QSL can’t bury this. While QSL America workers are out on strike fighting for respect, fairness, and safe working conditions, the company keeps showing exactly why this fight matters. Watch the video, hear it straight from Freddy, and stand with QSL workers fighting for the safety and respect they deserve.

The IUOE Local 150 Square Club was honored to recently donate $6,000 to Shriners Children's Hospital. Square Club Member and Brother Jake Graham was proud to present the check alongside his son, who is a patient and spokesperson at Shriners Hospital.

Thank you to all of the members, family, and friends who joined us at this year's Square Club Dinner Dance in February at the District 1 Hall! We hope you will join us at future events to continue supporting our community.

For more than 450 days, QSL America workers have stood up for their rights. Now, federal findings confirm the seriousness of QSL’s conduct: the NLRB found merit to charges involving unlawful firings, picket line surveillance, and alleged QSL/ILA collusion. OSHA has also issued serious safety citations in New Orleans. Public officials and investors must act. Workers deserve accountability now. IUOE Local 150 is asking our members, friends, and supporters to stand with the family of Brother Jonathan Stepp.

Jonathan was a second-generation Local 150 Operating Engineer who tragically lost his life on the jobsite in an industrial accident. He leaves behind three young children who are now facing life without their father.

All funds raised will be collected by IUOE Local 150 and disbursed to a trust account established for Jonathan’s children by his family.

Brothers and Sisters, we have lost one of our own. Now is the time to show Jonathan’s children that they are not alone.
Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser in Jonathan’s memory:

Thank you to Congressman Chuy García, Patty García, Alderwoman Jeylú Gutiérrez, 14th Ward Alderman and Vice Chair of the Chicago City Council Workforce Development Committee, and Cook County Commissioner Alma Anaya for visiting the QSL America strike line.

They brought food, spent time listening to workers’ concerns, and showed major support for the workers standing strong for over a year for safety, dignity, and respect at QSL America.

Your solidarity matters. Every visit and every conversation helps lift up workers’ voices and reminds everyone on the line that they are not alone.
