Career Opportunity: Roofing Superintendent - Covington, Virginia
Our established construction firm in Covington, Virginia, is currently seeking a highly organized and experienced Roofing Superintendent to provide leadership and oversight to our expanding roofing division. This is a key role requiring a proactive individual with a strong understanding of roofing systems, safety regulations, and project management principles.
Responsibilities:
*Directly supervise multiple roofing foremen and their respective crews across various active project sites.
*Manage and coordinate all aspects of multiple concurrent roofing projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
*Serve as the primary point of contact between project managers, foremen, and field personnel.
*Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality workmanship, and address any on-site issues promptly and effectively.
*Implement and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
*Collaborate with project managers in the planning and ex*****on phases, including material procurement, resource allocation, and subcontractor coordination.
*Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and any change orders.
*Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to roofing foremen.
*Proactively identify and resolve potential project delays or challenges.
Essential Qualifications:
*Demonstrated and verifiable experience in a supervisory role within the roofing industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
*Comprehensive knowledge of various roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques (e.g., shingle, metal, flat roofing).
*Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and best practices within the construction industry.
*Excellent leadership, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
*Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
*Valid driver's license
Compensation will be highly competitive and commensurate with the successful candidate's level of experience and qualifications.
