Why are we crushing this old concrete? 👀⤵️

We’re giving that old concrete a second life. ♻️ Once crushed, it can be processed and used as an aggregate base material underneath a new driveway.

Here’s why that matters:

• ♻️ Less waste: Instead of hauling all that old concrete to a landfill, we can recycle it into a usable material.

• 💪 A stronger foundation: The crushed material can be placed and compacted to create a solid, stable base for the new driveway.

• 💧 Better drainage: A properly prepared aggregate base allows water to move through the foundation instead of sitting underneath the pavement.

• 📐 Helps prevent settling: A properly installed and compacted base provides stability and helps reduce issues like settling and cracking over time.

• 🚛 Less hauling & fewer new materials: Reusing material on-site can reduce the amount of material that needs to be hauled away and replaced with new aggregate.

Important: Crushed concrete is NOT the finished driveway surface. It’s used as part of the foundation/base underneath the asphalt. The strength and longevity of a new driveway starts with what’s underneath it.

Old concrete → crushed → properly processed → solid base → new driveway. 👏🏼

It’s what you don’t see that helps make the difference.
