Jeri joined the Toolan Development team in 2012. As a third generation builder, she grew up visiting job sites with her father. In college, she started designing the occasional floor plan and pulling permits as needed. She listened to and learned from all those around her. At some point the building bug bit her (or perhaps it just came with the genes) and she has followed in the footsteps of her g

randfather and father ever since. Jeri has served in the following roles: Building Industry Association of Okaloosa and Walton Counties Board of Directors from 2005 to 2013; BIA Treasurer in 2006; Parade of Homes Committee Chair in 2007; BIA President from 2008-July 2009. Jeri served on the Crestview Chamber of Commerce board 2013 to 2014. She was named builder of the year in 2008. When not orchestrating the parade of homes, picking up supplies, or bringing cold drinks to the sub contractors, Jeri enjoys spending time with her husband John and their four children. The Toolan Development business plan was developed on the back of a pickup at a job site in 2004 when John worked for the State of Florida. John took a leap of faith to following his dream of owning his own business and has never looked back. John also grew up in Crestview and started working on job sites in high school. He has personally worked in the trenches on every phase of building and learned from the best. John is a “hands on” building contractor. He visits the job sites frequently and works thru challenges that arrive with trades. He is the first and last person the customer interacts with when building a home. Quality work and total customer satisfaction are what matter most to John, and it is reflected in every aspect of Toolan Development. John has modeled Toolan Development around these values, and when combined with his tireless work ethic, the result is something special that can been seen in every one of Toolan Develoment’s projects.

The topic of water quality came up yesterday and it’s got me thinking.

As homeowners, we invest in building the perfect place to live for a lifetime, but what about the water that flows through our homes every day?

Water quality is often overlooked, even when we know it plays a critical role in our health and in our homes.

💡 Here are a few things on my mind:

• Tap vs. Filtered: Are we confident in the safety of our tap water? Are we relying on filters?

• Hard Water: Have we noticed scale buildup on our faucets and appliances? This could be a sign of hard water impacting our homes and our health🫣
• Water Testing: When was the last time we tested the water in our homes for contaminants like lead, chlorine, or other harmful substances? I don’t know about you but I NEVER have🫣
• Health Impact: Poor water quality can affect everything from our skin to overall well-being. Do we even really know what’s in our water?
