We went from snow plowing and salt spreading season directly into spring. Not too often we are in full swing mowing in March. We blinked and lost a month. It is nearly May! I haven't stopped to take many pictures. Here is a screen shot of a rain delay I encountered last week.

Still accepting mowing customers if they are close to one of our current routes.

Anyone else ready to wash the fertilizer spreaders to clean out the ice melt? I'd rather see some grass seed and starter fertilizer in them. Not saying I'm mentally ready for spring, but I'm mentally ready for winter to be done. 😁

Snow is melting. Lawns are muddy. Phone is ringing. We often get calls for seeding jobs in the spring. Here is a little nugget of information that might help:

If you are over seeding, planting a new lawn, or repairing a section of lawn, do NOT apply any crabgrass preventer. It will also kill any new seed you put down. Crabgrass preventer has about a 30-45 day shelf life in your soil. The times it is active often overlaps with the seeding window.

Spring seeding? No crabgrass preventer.

After a long day and you think you are done. . .then the winds picked up. I guess two of us keep going and two more get called in for morning property checks.

Here is a local non-profit we love to support. They truly do amazing work for veterans, first responders, and youth. Feel free to help them finish their building to better serve the community.

Fundraising Goal: $30,000

We’ve officially received the quote to connect our two buildings — a critical step in expanding Warriors Way and improving access for the veterans, first responders and other we serve.

Over the next few months, our goal is to raise $30,000 to complete this phase of the project. This connection will allow us to better utilize the space, improve accessibility, and continue growing our programs in a safe, functional environment.

This is something we can only accomplish with the support of our community. Whether you’re able to give $1, $20, or more, every single dollar helps and truly makes a difference.

If you’re not able to donate right now, sharing this fundraiser is another powerful way to support our mission. Thank you for standing with Warriors Way and the veterans we serve.

We want to thank all the new followers. Here is a little video of one of our loaders the other day. We continue to monitor properties multiple times per day. The blowing snow was not quite as bad this morning as it was yesterday. This is what we do. We will continue to monitor, and service if necessary, days after a snow to ensure our customers have clear parking lots.

Great to meet Meteorologist Conner Prince in person along with Sofia for an interview today. When your son in law says "Selfie or it didn't happen" you make it happen. 😁

Everyone knows we have a major winter storm moving into the area. There will be a good amount of snow. There will be blowing and drifting snow. This will be followed by extreme cold. We have a plan in place to maintain our accounts. We have a plan in place to rotate operators. It will take longer to clear some of these accounts. With a long duration snow event, there will be times the parking lots could have some accumulation on them.

What can the public do to assist? Stay home. If you have an option, work from home Monday. Cancel first shift Monday (if necessary or if possible.) Pray for safety for anyone working to clear the snow. Pray for stamina and endurance for anyone clearing the snow. Pray for mental clarity to make wise and safe decisions in regards to employees, subcontractors, and customers. If you are not the praying kind, we completely respect and appreciate your right to not pray for us. Keep us in your thoughts.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and thoughts. Be safe. Stay home. Love on your friends and family. Help your neighbors. Limit your exposure to the elements. Be kind! We appreciate you all.
