that surround us and by the artists that came before us. HISTORY

The idea for establishing the group was formed in late 2003 by Kenneth W. The original group of thirteen artists was formed in January 2004. Our first year was quite successful and productive. We had three major group functions. We have had featured art shows almost every year. We generated significant regional and national exposure. We increased our regional and national advertising of these events. We focus on painting outdoors directly from nature, however we recognize that plein air painting is only part of our mission of improving as artists. We gathered to paint at various locations to enjoy the plein air experience and to enjoy each other’s company. Sharing is a major aspect of our group. A major goal of the group is to continue promoting our group on a regional and national level. We strive to increase our membership every year to include as many like-minded artists as possible. One of the nice things about our group is that each member can participate in as many or few activities as is comfortable for them. We continue to organize regular plein air paint-outs at a variety of interesting places. The quality of our members and their works is being recognized on a regional and national level. Our reputation for promoting the highest standards of professionalism continues to be recognized. Let’s keep painting! PPPAP RULES & PROCEDURES

It is the philosophy of the PPPAP to keep the organization and the rules simple fair and consistent. With that in mind, the following has been drafted. PPPAP members must renew their membership yearly. Members must abide by the PPPAP’s Code of Ethics. All PPPAP members are encouraged to participate in PPPAP functions, voice their opinions and make suggestions that would make the organization better serve their needs. Non-participation in functions may result in that member being excluded from PPPAP shows or limited in the number of pieces of their artwork exhibited in shows. As a courtesy, members are encouraged to respond to all email communications by at least confirming the receipt of the messages. LEVELS OF MEMBERSHIP

I'm your friend, always!

It occurred to Pooh and Piglet that they hadn't heard from Eeyore for several days, so they put on their hats and coats and trotted across the Hundred Acre Wood to Eeyore's stick house. Inside the house was Eeyore.

"Hello Eeyore," said Pooh.

"Hello Pooh. Hello Piglet," said Eeyore, in a Glum Sounding Voice.

"We just thought we'd check in on you," said Piglet, "because we hadn't heard from you, and so we wanted to know if you were okay."

Eeyore was silent for a moment. "Am I okay?" he asked, eventually. "Well, I don't know, to be honest. Are any of us really okay? That's what I ask myself. All I can tell you, Pooh and Piglet, is that right now I feel really rather Sad, and Alone, and Not Much Fun To Be Around At All. Which is why I haven't bothered you. Because you wouldn't want to waste your time hanging out with someone who is Sad, and Alone, and Not Much Fun To Be Around At All, would you now."

Pooh looked at Piglet, and Piglet looked at Pooh, and they both sat down, one on either side of Eeyore in his stick house.

Eeyore looked at them in surprise. "What are you doing?"

"We're sitting here with you," said Pooh, "because we are your friends. And true friends don't care if someone is feeling Sad, or Alone, or Not Much Fun To Be Around At All. True friends are there for you anyway. And so here we are."

"Oh," said Eeyore. "Oh." And the three of them sat there in silence, and while Pooh and Piglet said nothing at all; somehow, almost imperceptibly, Eeyore started to feel a very tiny little bit better.

Because Pooh and Piglet were There.

No more; no less.
