Just finished this project yesterday, Customer was having water build up behind house and then any heavy rains they we’re getting water in the basement, so we installed a French drain around the back of the house and tied in the gutter downspouts and then reshaped the backyard so water flows away from the house to the French drain, call me if you have any similar issues and want to take care of it!

Just finished up today..Replaced this 20+ year old railroad-tie retaining wall with 6x6 treated timbers
