Our thoughts and prayers are with the first responders that responded to that absolutely horrific call last night in Mandan last night.

There are no words that can truly express the gratitude and respect so many of us have for what you do. While most people only hear about tragedies after they happen, you are the ones who walk into them without hesitation.

Responding to the loss of innocent children is something no person should ever have to experience. Yet you answered the call with courage, compassion, and professionalism during one of the darkest moments imaginable. Behind every uniform is a human being who carries the weight of what they have seen, and we want you to know that your strength does not go unnoticed.

Thank you for treating those precious lives with dignity, for serving their families with compassion, and for standing together in the face of unimaginable heartbreak. The images and emotions from days like these do not simply disappear when a shift ends, and we hope you know it is okay to lean on one another and seek support when you need it.

Please remember that your service matters. Even in situations where nothing can change the outcome, your presence brings order to chaos, comfort to grieving families, and honor to those whose lives have been lost.
