So I got the call for a small 10000 sqft pond. The location however was anything but small. In the middle of the woods, in between a few hills off Scott's mountain rd. a small creek passed through the bottom an old trail about 6ft wide bounced down the hill creating a rocky path leading in the general direction. To say this location gave me reservations would be an understatement.

The client was great, I asked if we could get the small clearing about half an acre done and then do some test pits to determine if a pond was even feasible and she agreed. The clearing went smoothly while the team worked against rocks and steep slopes to open the space. The pits were dug the soils proved to be of good materials for the pond and 130 ft long dam.

We were envisioning a park like setting snuggled between these hills with a beautiful pond and hoped to find some on-site stones we could turn into natural seats at the waters edge, add a 14ft dock complete with ladder and a bench. More stones to create fish caves some deep pockets and a few bench cuts for fish to chill then finish with a nice graded side to ensure wildlife could enter and exit safely.

Fun build. This is our first greenhouse in a long time. It's complete with a water table for bottom watering and a soil mix table. The vent sides allow heat to rise out through openings left at the top.
