Warm floors start below the slab 🔥

Radiant floor heat on our ADU and addition in Barrington. Before the slab was poured, we laid out the PEX loops over foam board and passed the radiant inspection. Now those loops come up to a manifold in the mechanical room, run by a Viessmann wall-hung high-efficiency boiler. Quiet, even heat all winter long.

Almost move-in ready 🏡

The crew is in the final stretch on this ADU and addition in Barrington. Fresh paint and dark hardwood in the bedrooms, a double-vanity bath with arched mirrors and matte black fixtures, and a walk-in tile shower with a rain head and built-in niche. Just a few finishing touches left!

Outdoor living, covered 🌤️

A two-level deck with a covered porch, gable roof, and stairs down to the patio. Shade in the summer and a dry spot when it rains.

Same house, whole new look. New siding, windows, trim, entry, and a fresh paved driveway. What a difference!

Heating season is here 🔥

Our HVAC tech Jon, wrapped up three boiler installs in the last two weeks: two oil-fired boiler replacements and a new wall-hung gas Viessmann boiler for a new ADU with radiant heat!

Every install gets the same finish before we leave: zones purged, combustion efficiency and draft tested, hot water checked, and the whole system run through its paces.

Old boiler on its last legs? Give us a call before the cold really sets in.

Before ➡️ After: tub to walk-in shower 🚿

We tore out this old tub down to the studs and built a walk-in shower with a black-trimmed sliding glass door, a built-in double niche and a grab bar for safety. Bright, easy to keep up with, and it still fits the classic checkerboard floor. Swipe to see the transformation!

From framing to finished 🏰

Not every day you get to build a tower! The crew framed this octagon turret, set the roof, and finished the inside with arched windows stacked all the way up.

Brushed gold fixtures, clean white tile, patterned floors, and frameless glass. These showers turned out stunning.

Out with the old, in with the new! 🏠

Nate and Jake are giving this home a full siding makeover. The old siding is coming off, rotted sheathing is getting cut out and replaced with new plywood, a new front door is in, and the walls are getting wrapped before new trim goes on around the windows. Doing it right underneath is what makes the finished job last.

Pulling together, on the job and off it. 💪

We took a break from the job sites for a company outing, and of course it turned into a tug-of-war showdown. Turns out the same things that win a tug of war are the same things that get a house built right: everybody grabbing the same rope, digging in at the same time, and trusting the person next to you to hold their ground.

On a project, it's no different. Framers, electricians, plumbers, the office crew, and our homeowners all pulling in one direction. When one person slips, the rest of the team holds the line until they get their footing back. That's how we work, and it's why we're proud of the crew we've got.
