For Anyone listening! Living your life in accordance with Jesus is no easy task. The Devil is a master of disguise and he knows you just as well as God does. He knows you better than you know yourself and will use your emotions against you at any given moment. Especially when you least expect it. He doesn’t want you to grow closer to God. He will do anything and everything to pull you away. You have to keep your eyes on Jesus during these difficult times. If you’re not careful, he will succeed at pulling you away and then leave you all alone in dismay. You won’t realize what’s happening until you’re so far gone. You can be on top of the world. Living life according to the “Word”. Everything can seem to be going great and then you have a moment of weakness, insecurity, anxiety, etc. and you don’t even know why. He’s a professional at what he does. The GOOD thing is he can only do so much. You still have the power that resides within you to prevail through it. You might slip a little, feel discouraged, shameful, hurt, etc. You might start thinking about all the pain from your past experiences and the people who hurt you. Things that hit you where it hurts the most. Thats all apart of his agenda. Is it a test? Is this a spiritual battle? I don’t know!
What I am confident in is that he can’t win if you have your heart set on Jesus. It may seem like you’re losing it. You may feel so isolated from everything and everyone. Like you’re all alone with no one to help you out. You may find yourself so upset that you want to just give up on everything. You may want to go back to your old ways. Don’t Give Up! Remember who else is sitting there at your side waiting for you to reach out to him. Jesus can only do what you ask of him because of the free will we were bestowed with. He can’t step in unless you call on him. Even if you’re angry and confused about the whole situation. You may want to argue with God and ask him why me! Why did you bring me into this world?! Why did you allow these things to happen to me?! That’s ok! We’re human beings who move around in life based off of emotions. Jesus knows what you’re dealing with. He knows what it means to be human. He knows we’re not perfect. We are going to fall time and time again. Just DON’T take your eyes off of God. He will carry you and bring you back even stronger than before if you can endure the test. I write this with love and compassion!
