We’re proud to have wrapped up this small but mighty retaining wall project.

From start to finish, this wall was built the right way. What was once a slope left by the concrete contractor is now a clean, functional space supported by a curved wall topping out at 24 inches.

We focused on doing it right below the surface with a solid base, proper drainage, and compacted backfill to ensure long term stability. It’s that attention to detail that sets our work apart.

We’re proud to have wrapped up another drainage and structural repair project.

This homeowner was dealing with a developing sinkhole under their sidewalk caused by poor drainage and buried stump debris nearly 7 feet deep. To permanently solve the issue, we removed the failing sidewalk and excavated all unsuitable material before rebuilding the area using DOT-compatible structural fill installed in compacted 6-inch lifts to ensure long-term stability.

After restoring the grade, we shaped the now solid area for proper runoff and installed a channel drain along the backside of the driveway to capture and redirect surface water. This solution will help prevent future erosion, settlement, and washouts on the property.

With the ground stabilized and drainage corrected, the homeowners are now excited to move forward with their plans to transform this space into a new flower bed and garden area. Projects like this are a great reminder that solving problems below the surface is what truly protects and improves outdoor spaces.

We’re extremely proud of how this project came together.

This North Forsyth job was designed with one main goal in mind: stopping the erosion that had slowly destroyed this backyard and transforming it into usable yard space for the family and kids. The before-and-after photos truly tell the story.

The project includes an 85 ft × 4 ft Keystone block retaining wall with an integrated set of steps, a Keystone block raised garden bed, and an additional curved retaining wall near the back patio. To properly manage water on the property, we routed all downspouts underground and installed a dry creek bed to safely direct runoff down the property.

To achieve the final grade, we brought in eight truckloads of clean fill dirt to rebuild and raise the backyard before finishing with grading and sod. Every part of this job was built with careful attention to detail — from base preparation and drainage to backfill and final grading — with no detail missed.

Located in North Forsyth off Shady Grove, this retaining wall features over 400 face square feet of Keystone block and more than 40 tons of gravel backfill. From top to bottom, it holds back an impressive 11 feet of elevation difference, showcasing both strength and craftsmanship.

A recent project completed by the Land Wise team up in Cleveland, GA!
We were thrilled to help bring new life to this property. The story behind it makes it even more special — this was the customer’s parents’ home, and after 30 years without maintenance, they were ready for a fresh start.

We cleared a little over an acre, cut down around 60 trees, and mulched all the underbrush to open up the space. We can’t wait to see how amazing the backyard looks after grading is finished!
