Thursday was a busy day in Punxsutawney! Thank you to Punxsy Tree Service for the call to come in to help with this project! This was a project you don't see every day. Following Wednesday night's severe rain and wind storm, combined with recent construction that may have impacted the root systems of several trees, we were called to three different homes on the same street to remove four maple trees that had fallen onto houses.

While the homeowners unfortunately experienced property damage, our crew was able to respond quickly and safely remove the trees from the structures, preventing further damage and allowing the recovery process to begin.

We're grateful for the opportunity to help our community when unexpected situations arise. We always have a crew ready to respond 24/7 for any emergency situation.

We successfully removed all six of these sugar maple trees using only our grapple saw truck. The trees were located on a hillside behind the home, making this specialized equipment the ideal solution for the project.

We ran into an unexpected hiccup today while on the job. While cutting down a 120 foot white pine, we observed an inhabited Cooper’s Hawk nest, housing 5 babies. We contacted Centre Wildlife Care to determine how to proceed. After some planning, we were able to safely climb and remove the nest with all of its structural branches intact. Centre Wildlife will help assist in raising these babies with a future plan of releasing them back into the wild.
