Big Town Concrete (BTC), a North Texas based ready-mix concrete company, continues to execute our mission to provide high quality ready-mix concrete for commercial, industrial, residential, and government customers by providing the highest quality products in the North Texas market, with a modern fleet of experienced drivers, state of the art technology, and commitment to providing our customers with the upmost care and service.
We are pleased to announce the addition of Richard (Rich) Szecsy, PhD., PE, FACI, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Rich brings over 25 years of experience in ready-mix concrete in areas such as operations, M&A’s, corporate integrations, cost controls, safety, environment, quality control, engineering, plant design and layout, pricing strategies, and financial assessments and analysis. Rich is recognized as a national expert and thought leader in the areas of concrete technologies, recycled materials, concrete construction, and concrete sustainability and resiliency. In 2014, Rich was named as one of the most Influential People in the concrete industry by Concrete Producer magazine. He has also served on several state and national committees and Boards of Direction for ASTM, ACI, ASCE, and the NRMCA.
Rich will lead and oversee the current BTC leadership team of:
- Mickey Schoenhals, Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mickey has over 15 years of experience in leading organizations in finance, accounting, credit/collections, and risk management and analytics
- Jeff Murray, Vice President, Operations. Jeff has over 15 years of experience in Plant Operations in the ready-mix industry in the DFW area.
- Richard Martin, Vice President, Sales, and Business Development. Richard has over 20 years of experience in the ready-mix industry where he has led Sales, Business Development and Operations Teams.
- Mike Garcia, Director, Quality Control. Mike has over 30 years of experience in the ready-mix industry. He spent his first 5 years as a ready-mix driver where he gained some of his most valuable experience. He has spent the last 25 years building and leading Quality Control teams throughout Texas.
- Nova Albers, Director, Human Resources. Nova has almost 30 years of experience in the field of Human Resources where she is known for aligning human capital strategies to business needs and objectives.
- Steve Morris, Director of Operations. Steve brings nearly 10 years of leadership experience in stationary and portable ready-mix plant operations.
