This month, we’re celebrating an incredible milestone: 30 years of leadership, dedication, and service from our Vice President, Randy Bessire!

Over the past three decades, Randy has helped shape ANDRES into the company it is today, building not only an outstanding reputation but also lifelong relationships along the way.

“When Wade and Mr. Andres hired me, they shared a vision and long-range plan to build a company with an outstanding reputation—one admired by our peers. It’s hard for me to believe it has been 30 years! Some of my closest relationships are with my fellow employee-owners. When you love what you do and who you do it with, time truly flies. There are only a handful of moments in life that you can describe as milestones, and this is certainly one of them.”

Congratulations on 30 remarkable years at ANDRES, Randy! We are grateful for your leadership and the lasting impact you’ve made at ANDRES and the people around you.

This year, ANDRES is proud to welcome student workers from Cristo Rey to our Dallas office!

These four students will gain hands-on experience across departments including preconstruction, accounting, marketing, and VDC/technology while building valuable workplace skills and exploring the many career paths available in construction.

We’re excited to mentor, encourage, and learn alongside them throughout this school year.

Help us congratulate Hayden Whatley on five years with ANDRES and our VDC department this month!

“During my time at ANDRES, I’ve felt like a valued employee-owner rather than just another number. It’s been a rewarding place to work, and I’m excited about the opportunities and growth that lie ahead.”

We’re grateful for Hayden’s contributions over the past five years and look forward to seeing what’s ahead. Congratulations, Hayden! 👏

This summer, we’ve had the opportunity to work on not one, but two projects at Cistercian Preparatory School in Irving—and the alumni connections run deep (keep reading to see why)!

Our Cistercian summer intern is a CPS graduate, as well as our project architect Gary Cunningham and his summer intern. ANDRES President, Warren Andres ’77 (pictured), and CEO, Wade Andres ’75, are also proud CPS alumni (and the Cistercian Abbey was our very first project as a company in the early 90s)!

From graduates who walked the campus decades apart to the next generation of builders, we love seeing these Cistercian Hawks working together to help shape the future of their alma mater.

At The University of Texas at Austin, the new Whitis Hall is being built with both students and the surrounding environment in mind.

The residence hall’s precast concrete panels were lifted into place over the site’s mature Heritage Oak trees, helping preserve the shaded courtyard for future residents to enjoy.

The exposed concrete walls and ceilings also reduce the need for additional finishes and paint, lowering the building’s embodied carbon.

This project was a thoughtful approach that protects a meaningful part of the campus while creating a more sustainable home for first-year students. Learn more about our project alongside some other sustainable student housing projects by clicking the link below. ⬇️
