Sometimes the biggest problems are hiding behind the finished walls.

Water damage caused this corner of the home to sink, throwing the second-floor balcony and roofline out of level. Our crew has opened the structure, removed the floor to ceiling windows, installed temporary supports, and begun carefully raising and reinforcing the damaged area.

The goal is to restore proper support, level the balcony, correct the roofline, and rebuild everything the right way, from the structure out.

RCV, ACV, and depreciation - what do these terms actually mean for your roof insurance claim?

You’ll learn the difference between:

• RCV — Replacement Cost Value
• ACV — Actual Cash Value
• Depreciation
• Recoverable depreciation

With many replacement-cost policies, the initial payment may reflect the estimated repair cost minus depreciation and your deductible. After covered repairs are completed and properly documented, recoverable depreciation may be released.
