Job Title: Skilled Equipment Operator
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled equipment operator with a strong attention to detail and a broad knowledge of installing utilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of heavy equipment, such as excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, and loaders, to perform tasks related to utility installation.
- Follow project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate and precise installation of utilities.
- Excavate trenches and holes for utility lines, ensuring proper depth and alignment.
- Install and connect utility lines, such as water, sewer, and gas lines, according to established guidelines and safety standards.
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members, including construction workers and supervisors, to ensure efficient project completion.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to equipment operation and utility installation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an equipment operator in residential and commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of utility installation techniques and procedures.
- Proficient in operating various types of heavy equipment, including excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, and loaders.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow project plans and blueprints accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
