Important Service Updates — Effective November 2026
Dear Medic1 Lawn Service Customers,
First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of you for trusting Medic1 Lawn Service with the care and maintenance of your property. I truly appreciate your business and the opportunity to serve you.
As Medic1 Lawn Service continues to grow, I need to make some changes to the way certain services are performed. These changes are necessary to improve safety, make my routes and mowing operations more efficient, reduce unnecessary time spent on individual properties, and allow me to continue providing the best quality service possible as a one-man operation.
These updates will take effect November 2026.
W**d Eating Around Certain Areas
Beginning in November, fence lines, rock structures, rocky areas, and similar obstacles will no longer be routinely w**d-eated.
This decision is primarily based on safety and efficiency. W**d eating around rocks, fencing, landscaping materials, and other hard surfaces increases the possibility of damaging equipment, breaking windows or siding, throwing rocks or debris, or causing injury to myself or damage to surrounding property.
By eliminating unnecessary w**d eating in these areas, I can spend more time concentrating on the most important part of your lawn service — proper, consistent mowing and overall lawn appearance.
This does not mean these areas will be ignored. W**d control around these areas will be addressed through chemical applications when appropriate and when conditions allow.
Driveways, Cracks, Buildings & Structures
W**ds and grass growing through driveway cracks, sidewalks, expansion joints, around buildings, foundations, structures, and other areas where w**d eating is unnecessary or difficult will be treated with appropriate herbicide applications rather than routinely w**d-eated.
My goal is to establish a preventative w**d-control program that reduces the amount of unnecessary trimming required throughout the season.
For properties receiving this service, applications are planned approximately four times per year:
- November
- February
- May
- August
The exact timing may be adjusted when necessary because of weather, temperature, rainfall, growing conditions, or other factors.
The cost of these applications will depend on the size of the area and the amount of product and labor required. Once a property has been evaluated and the appropriate treatment amount has been established, the price should remain consistent unless product costs, application requirements, or other significant costs change. Depending on these factors, you may or may not receive a price adjustment.
Fertilizer & W**d-Control Applications
Moving forward, my goal is for all participating lawn-service properties to receive appropriate pre-emergent and post-emergent w**d-control applications whenever conditions and the lawn type allow.
I understand that not every customer wants fertilizer, and I respect that decision. However, proper w**d control is an important part of maintaining a healthier, cleaner-looking lawn.
My goal is not simply to mow grass. I want to help improve the overall appearance and quality of your lawn by reducing w**ds, preventing new w**ds when possible, and maintaining a healthier turf environment.
Customers who have elected to have their lawn fertilized and treated will receive those applications as part of their ongoing service program without needing to be contacted for approval before every routine application. The appropriate charge will be added to your bill.
If you do not want fertilizer or chemical lawn treatments performed on your property, please let me know so I can update your account accordingly.
Two-Week Mowing Customers — Grass Height
For customers on a biweekly/two-week mowing schedule, it is important that the grass is maintained at a reasonable height between visits.
If grass is allowed to become excessively tall — particularly over approximately 9 inches — it may require substantially more time, additional passes, double cutting, or special attention to complete the mowing properly.
When grass exceeds a reasonable mowing height, one of the following may apply:
1. Additional mowing charge based on the additional time and work required; or
2. A "one-mow" service, meaning the lawn will receive a single mowing pass without the expectation of a double cut or additional cleanup required to make severely overgrown grass look like a regularly maintained lawn.
This policy is necessary to keep scheduled routes on time and to ensure that one overgrown property does not significantly affect the remainder of the day's customers.
If you know your grass is growing unusually fast or you need an additional mowing between scheduled visits, please contact me. I will do my best to accommodate you when my schedule allows.
Tree Limbs & Branches
All tree limbs and branches that interfere with mowing, hang over fences, block access, or prevent equipment from safely reaching portions of the lawn will need to be trimmed back by the homeowner or by Medic1 Lawn Service for an additional reasonable charge.
This includes branches that could damage equipment, interfere with the mower operator, prevent proper mowing, or create an unsafe working condition.
If I can safely handle the trimming myself, I will discuss the work and provide a reasonable charge based on the amount of work required.
Safety & Property Access
Safety will always take priority.
As a one-person lawn service, I have to be especially careful about conditions that can create unnecessary risk. Rocks, hidden objects, low branches, fencing, debris, excessive vegetation, and inaccessible areas can create hazards for both myself and my equipment.
If an area of your property presents an unreasonable safety concern, I may need to leave that area untreated or unmowed until the issue has been corrected.
My goal is not to provide less service. My goal is to provide the right service in a safer and more efficient way.
Pet Waste & Dog P**p
For the safety and cleanliness of both the customer's property and myself, all pet waste should be picked up from the lawn before scheduled mowing service.
If dog p**p or other pet waste is left in the mowing area and I am required to stop and pick it up before I can safely mow, an $8 pet-waste cleanup charge will be added to that service.
Pet waste can create a sanitation concern and can also get onto mower tires, decks, blades, and other equipment. Keeping the lawn clear of pet waste helps me provide your mowing service more efficiently and keeps unnecessary cleanup time to a minimum.
I understand that accidents happen, but this charge will apply when pet waste has been left on the property and I have to personally remove it in order to complete the mowing service.
Please have all pet waste picked up before my scheduled arrival whenever possible. This small step helps keep the mowing process safe, clean, and efficient for everyone.
Continuing to Improve Medic1 Lawn Service
Medic1 Lawn Service is continuing to grow, and with growth comes the need to improve how the business operates.
Because I am currently a one-man operation, my time has to be managed carefully. Reducing unnecessary w**d eating, improving w**d-control practices, establishing more consistent treatment programs, and addressing obstacles before they become problems will allow me to spend more time focusing on what matters most — providing you with a clean, properly maintained lawn and dependable service.
I will continue making additional changes when necessary to help Medic1 Lawn Service operate more smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the quality of service my customers expect.
Pricing, Payment & Future Changes
All services are expected to be paid at the time the service is provided unless payment arrangements have been discussed and approved in advance.
Mowing services may continue for no more than two mowing visits with an unpaid balance. All other services must be paid at the time they are provided.
If payment is not received as agreed, a late fee of $5 will be added for every five-day period the balance remains unpaid. Beginning on the sixth day, the late fee will increase to $10, with an additional $10 added for each subsequent five-day period until the balance is paid in full.
I also reserve the right to make reasonable and responsible price adjustments when necessary due to increases in fuel, materials, chemicals, fertilizer, equipment, insurance, labor, maintenance, or other operating costs.
I will not make unnecessary price increases. However, as costs in the lawn-care industry and the general market change, adjustments may occasionally be necessary to continue providing reliable service.
If a price increase is necessary for your property or service, you will be notified as soon as possible before the new pricing takes effect.
My goal is always to provide a fair price while making sure Medic1 Lawn Service remains a sustainable business that can continue serving you for years to come.
Thank You
I sincerely appreciate your continued business and support.
Medic1 Lawn Service has grown because of the customers who have trusted me with their properties, recommended me to others, and continued to allow me to serve them.
These changes are being made with the intention of making the business safer, more efficient, more consistent, and better positioned for the future.
I hope to continue serving you to the best of my ability and providing a lawn service you can depend on.
If you have any questions about these changes or would like to discuss the services being performed on your property, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you for your continued business and support.
