Introducing the four incredible artists representing DASH Ensemble this weekend at the 18th Annual SPRING TO DANCE® Festival presented by Dance St. Louis ✨

On Friday, May 22, at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center in St. Louis, Kayla Gonzalez, Spirit Priester, Carly Olson, and Katherine Potz, will take the stage in a special new adaptation of The Power of Collision — a reimagined evening of four duets weaving together material, themes, visual magic, and movement language from the original work alongside highlights from previous DASH repertory.

We’re deeply excited to share this work among such an extraordinary lineup of artists and companies from around the country, and incredibly proud of these four performers for bringing their artistry, commitment, and presence into this process. ⚡️

St. Louis — we can’t wait to share this weekend with you. 🖤

In process for The Power of Collision (2023). Sleight-of-hand is movement, too—technique that needs reps. Act 2 reminds us the rough edges are part of getting the magic to land. We applaud the tireless effort and work from all of our DASH collaborators in our rehearsal periods and on stage.

From the archives — our 2016 residency . Grateful for every artist and collaborator who’s helped shape the journey of The DASH. The work keeps growing because of the people who have poured into it ✨

💥 Ready to MOVE / MAKE / MERGE?
This August, Gregory Dolbashian is leading a 3-day workshop at that invites dancers and early-career creators to go deeper into their craft—physically, creatively, and artistically.
Here’s how it breaks down:
🔹 DAY 1 — MOVE
We begin with set material—phrasework that’s bold, musical, and physically charged. But it’s not just about learning steps—it’s about inhabiting them. This day explores how choreography can become a space for individuality, clarity, and full-body commitment.
🔹 DAY 2 — MAKE
Through guided improvisation and structured creative tasks, Day 2 invites you to build and trust your own movement language. We’ll work with strategies that sharpen instinct and help you source movement from both impulse and intention.
🔹 DAY 3 — MERGE
You’ll reconnect with choreography from Day 1, but with new tools in your hands. This day is about applying your personal artistry, remixing material, and exploring how improvisational tools can elevate performance and deepen your dancing.
Each day ends with time for conversation and creative exchange—because sometimes your process needs words, too.
